Navajo Made Leather & Turquoise Dog Collars
Dog Collars, Really?
Dan Martinez is the sole Navajo artist who creates our dog collars. Each collar is made of high-grade genuine cowhide leather and, depending on collar size, is decorated with three to seven Turquoise Conchos set with a sterling silver bezel. The backs and connectors of these collars are made of copper adding more durability. The buckle is handmade of sterling silver.
These popular dress-up collars are made in several lengths with varying numbers of turquoise conchos to fit dogs of different sizes. In other words, the larger size of the dog, the more turquoise conchos they will have to show off! The holes are not punched in the leather to allow you to best fit your personal dog. Leather punches are available in leather shops, and in most big box retailers. Ask us for assistance should you need help with this.
Not Just For Pooch
These handcrafted dog collars are a unique way for proud pet owners to accessorize their favorite canine. But wait! These collars are ideal for cats in the smaller sizes as well. Canine or feline, you can now proudly proclaim your devotion.
Dan also makes a smaller-size bracelet version for the public that has been very well received. The difference being in the “people version” the front and back of the Turquoise Conchos are made of solid sterling silver. These attractive bracelets are sold in our Leather & Stone Bracelets product category.
