Meet Arland Ben

Arland Ben is a revered Navajo silversmith known for his artistic mastery, which is reflected in each of his creations. He was born on the Navajo reservation in 1962 and grew up in the Four Corners area. Arland spent his junior and high school years in California and pursued higher education in art at Brigham Young University. After being active in wrestling for some time, he later explored a career as a stuntman, appearing in Hollywood productions such as "The Last of the Mohicans," "Buffalo Girls," and "Geronimo."

It wasn't until he was 29 that he began learning the basics of jewelry-making from his brother-in-law, Vincent Platero. He dedicated himself to mastering goldsmithing and hand-cut overlay, the techniques for which he is known today. Besides being an award-winning Native American jeweler, Arland is an avid horseman and a devoted husband and father to two sons.
