Meet Albert Jake

Albert Jake was born in Ramah, New Mexico, in 1959. He grew up in a large family with one older brother, three older sisters, and three younger sisters. Albert attended school in Ramah until sixth grade. After that, he moved to Springerville, Arizona, and later to Pinehill, New Mexico. He graduated from high school in 1978.

Albert learned silversmithing from his sister Louise and began creating jewelry in 1987. He is also a skilled sand painter and potter. He currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with his wife and two daughters.

Albert Jake’s jewelry incorporates a combination of appliqué, stamp work, twist wire, and oxidation to create a strong impression. Every piece is handmade and stamped with Jake’s hallmark: A. Jake. 

Rings

Designed with genuine turquoise, Albert Jake’s rings are bold and eye-catching. They showcase stones that range from yellow-green to sky blue in color. They also come in different sizes to suit a variety of body types and serve as a striking accessory that reflects the rich cultural heritage of their maker. 

Necklaces

Albert Jake’s Native American necklaces are characterized by their sizable pendants, often made in the form of a cross. Some of them come with matching French wire earrings strung with Navajo pearls and turquoise. His pieces are designed with beauty and functionality in mind and feature a “hook and eye” connector for easy closure.  

Pendants

Jake uses pendants to capture different shapes and designs. Most showcase a single stone and are accented with intricate hand stamping. Each pendant incorporates traditional Navajo silversmithing techniques for a masterful finish.

Bracelets

Albert Jake’s bracelets are a testament to his skill as a craftsman. He enjoys making cuff bracelets set with Kingman and Golden Hill turquoise. These works of art showcase a variety of techniques and are available in a range of sizes.
